The Webster County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing regarding an animal feeding operation increase at their next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday
Item number 12 on the agenda is a public hearing to review and provide a recommendation to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources regarding an increase at a Webster County animal feeding operation. The proposal is to increase an operation located in the 1600 mile of 375th Street, South Southeast of Gowrie. Currently, that operation has 4,400 head of wean to finish swine. The proposal would add 266 more head with no new construction.
Also on the agenda is to receive and place on file the retirement of Beth Albright, Dental Hygienist for the Health Department, effective in January, as well as Dan Lewandowski, Director Webster County Veterans Affairs, effective later on in summer of 2026. A letter from the Webster County Civil Service Commission certifying those that passed the entrance examination tests for Deputy Sheriff will also be considered to be accepted and placed on file.
The Board has also reserved some time to go into close session to discuss strategy with counsel in a matter where litigation is imminent.
The meeting will be December 16th, 2025 at 10:00AM in the Board of Supervisors Room at the Webster County Courthouse.
