Is Hy-vee going to be bringing another urgent care choice to the Fort Dodge area?
In 2024, Hy-Vee Corporate announced it was becoming a joint owner of Exemplar Care medical clinics. Hy-Vee Health Exemplar Care was created with the goal of more affordable primary care and urgent care services to Iowa patients and employers. At that time, there were three locations announced – West Des Moines, Ankeny and Bondurant.
Fast forward to 2026. Some activity has started happening at the former Mattress Firm location at 2921 5th Avenue South – the Metro Investments building that houses Buffalo Wild Wings.
A internet search of that address ended as a ‘coming soon’ location on Hy-Vee Health Exemplar Care’s website. There is a phone number listed on the site, but it appears to be universal phone number listed for all of the Hy-Vee Health Exemplar Care locations.
There hasn’t been anything official put out yet or exactly what services will be offered at the location, but will continue to monitor.
