April 27, 2026

Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) announced that his office will host a Military Academy Day for Iowa students – 8th grade through 12th grade – interested in applying to one of our nation’s five military academies.

Representatives will be on hand from the United States Air Force Academy, United States Military Academy, United States Naval Academy, United States Merchant Marine Academy, and United States Coast Guard Academy to answer questions and provide advice. Academy coordinators from our office, as well as staff from Senators Grassley and Ernst, will be available to discuss each office’s application process.

“Our military is the strongest fighting force in the world due to the service and sacrifice of the brave men and women who wear the uniform and defend our freedoms. We can never adequately thank our troops for risking their own lives to protect our communities and our nation,” said Rep. Feenstra. “I encourage any student interested in applying to one of our nation’s military academies to attend my Military Academy Day in Fort Dodge. This will be a unique opportunity to hear directly from representatives from each of the academies and learn more about the application process.”

Feenstra’s Military Academy Day will be held at Iowa Central Community College in the Triton Café Boardroom on Monday May 11th, 2026, from 5:00 PM CT to 7:00 PM CT. Doors open at 4:30 PM. The address is One Triton Circle, Fort Dodge, IA.
