A request for an internal capital loan has given a glimpse of some possible future changes at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course.
Lakeside is requesting an internal loan from city reserves to purchase some capital equipment. The loan would be used to purchase a traditional 10ft pull-behind finish rough mower for $45,000, a robotic range picker for $30,000, and a robotic mower for $32,000.
According to the memo to the Fort Dodge City Council, investing in a robotic range picker and mower will improve operational efficiency by reducing reliance on seasonal staffing while allowing staff to concentrate on other key golf course operations and services.
