The former Greenleaf Healthcare facility, located at 1305 North 22nd Street, is well on its way to being leveled.
The City acquired the facility in 2016 under Iowa’s Abandoned Buildings law. The site was originally acquired for re-use, but was later determined demolition would be the best long term solution. The latest plan for the area was to spit up some land to adjacent owners, as well as offer a lot for development.
The demo project was awarded to Mid-Iowa Site Services of Fort Dodge in the amount of $130,246.19.
