The Fort Dodge City Council will be holding a Public Hearing at their upcoming meeting on Monday regarding nuisance assessments. A Fort Dodge property that is not new to oversight will again be a part of this process.
The Country Side Inn at 324 Kenyon Road has 3 outstanding invoices from the City that were not handled, and will be subject to assessment. The invoices are all dated September 16th 2024 for securement of property and removal and disposal of miscellaneous items. The three invoices total $390.
In November, it was noted this property had an outstanding water bill totalling more than $30,000.
This property is not just known to Fort Dodge officials. In 2022, The Country Side Inn was cited by State inspectors for lack of license and code violations by State inspectors. During their May 3rd 2022 inspection, it was noted that some walls and ceilings had a “build-up debris”, window screen with holes or gaps, air gaps under door, “a larger hole” in wall, sinks leaking, showers leaking and tiles missing, and ice machine inoperative.
The Country Side Inn is owned by Harvest Estates out of Tupelo Mississippi.
