A recent change has been made to the Fort Dodge Police Department’s portion of the City website: Automated Enforcement.

The Fort Dodge Police Department’s Automated Enforcement page has virtually been untouched for months, until recently. The change outlines the location of one of the two mobile speed camera cars.
The first location displayed is the 1300 Block of S 22nd Street, which would be just South of Bootleggers and Chesterfield area.
Also, under the ‘Links’ tab on that same page, is a report compiled by the Fort Dodge Police Department entitled 2024 ATE Annual Report. The report gives a brief history of the evolution of Automated Traffic Enforcement in Fort Dodge, the location of the newly permitted speed camera locations, as well as some 2024 enforcement statistics.
According to the report, a total of 1511 citations were issued in Fort Dodge in 2024. The deployment location of Kenyon Road Bridge received the highest citation counting, showing 557 infractions. The Fort Dodge Police Department did not apply for a permit for continued automatic traffic enforcement on Kenyon Road. No revenue information is contained within the annual report.
